Prof. Scott Sonju is an experienced executive, entrepreneur, speaker, and leadership and organizational behavior expert. For 20 years Scott was in professional sports, starting with the Dallas Mavericks and then for 13 years Scott was co-owner and president of one of the most successful Minor League Baseball teams in the country. Over the years, he also launched a professional rugby team, three nonprofits, a leadership development program for gap year students, and his own consulting & advisory business. Scott was part of the three person team that launched TrailRunner Sports, a division of TrailRunner International providing expertise to sports industry clients. Scott has worked with diverse clients ranging from NBA teams, Universities, Publicly traded Companies, Private sector Businesses, and Nonprofits. Scott is equally comfortable with owners, founders, c-suite executives, and those in the trenches making it happen. He earned his MBA at Northwestern and a BA from Texas A&M University. He teaches part-time at SMU. Scott loves helping high capacity leaders be even more effective - professionally and personally. He also enjoys connecting with audiences and developing impactful leaders. Scott and Amy and been married 29 years and have 4 kids.
